Round Table on Citizen Participation in Belgrade

On July 9, Civic Initiatives (CI) and ECNL are co-hosting a round table in Belgrade to present recommendations for the development of mechanism for citizen participation in the shaping of public policies in Serbia. The recommendations are an integral part of a brochure: Citizen Participation in the Shaping of Public Policies, which is edited by CI/ECNL. The round table and the publishing of the brochure is supported by EIDHR under the project Strengthening Capacity of Civil Society Organizations to Participate in the Shaping, Implementation and Monitoring of Public Policies, and by UNDP under the project Creating an Enabling Mechanism for Citizen Participation in Public Policies Impacting on the Poor.

Presentation of EIDHR-Funded Projects in Serbia

On July 1, in Belgrade the European Commission hosted a presentation of projects funded by EIDHR in Serbia. For its presentation the Commission chose two successful projects. One of which was Strengthening capacity of civil society organizations to participate in the shaping, implementation and monitoring of public policies, implemented by Civic Initiatives in collaboration with ECNL. Miljenko Dereta of Civic Initiatives presented the major features of the project, including its goals, partners, and activities.
